About The Sea King

My name is Christian Wagner and I am the artist behind The Sea King, a Bay Area based alternative rock project. The Sea King is a musical identity I began in 2023 after three surfing-related traumatic brain injuries changed my life and led me down a new path as an artist. I went from being a healthy 23-year-old finishing his senior year at Harvard University with aspirations to become a marine ecologist, to someone just struggling to get through life one day at a time. I lost touch with my whole world, but music began to flow out of my experience. Today, I'm reclaiming everything I lost, and I'm doing it with a new voice and a new sense of being. Music is about seeking, whether it be love or joy, or simply hearing that which is in our hearts flowing back to us in the form of rhythm and harmony. However much you pour into music, there will always be something unsaid, the melody to another song. I tend to exist between many genres, due to my own diverse musical background, but the thread that connects everything is that is is all a reflection of who I am. Heart Music, are the only words I will use to describe my own art. The rest you can only discover through listening, experiencing, and seeking.
